For support of an Early Education Specialist for their new early childhood literacy program called NAC L.I.T! (Literacy, Inquiry, and Togetherness) for children aged 0-5 involved in the child welfare system and their respective caregivers. NAC L.I.T! provides literacy engagement and individualized interventions designed to ensure that young children enter kindergarten with the foundational skills, support, and learning environments necessary for long-term academic success. This position plays a central role in engaging families, building caregiver capacity, and better ensuring that children are connected to appropriate early childhood services, educational placements, and community-based resources. Through one-on-one support, the Specialist helps families navigate complex systems, access high-quality early learning opportunities, and remain engaged in services that support their child’s development. NAC’s mission is to provide innovative high-quality services that help ensure children with complex medical, developmental, and mental health needs can safely remain with or be reunified with their families and achieve long-term stability and well-being.
