Court Appointed Special Advocates of New York City (“CASA-NYC”)

Posted on August 9, 2017

To help CASA of New York City revitalize the Volunteer Services program and improve the overall efficacy of their services by expanding the role of the Volunteer Coordinator to a full-time position. The Coordinator will screen and train their current backlog of 150+ potential volunteers, conduct targeted outreach to recruit a more linguistically diverse pool of volunteers, and provide ongoing engagement, training, technical assistance and support to volunteers and staff. As a result, more children and youth in foster care will be matched with volunteer Advocates, and children assigned to CASA can receive more effective services. CASA volunteer Advocates assess the individual needs of each child and family, work to get those needs met, and seek to ensure that children do not languish in foster care.
