Towards the Senior Manager of Learning and Development who will help to strengthen the AmeriCorps Members’ experiences and better develop their leadership capacities needed to deliver high-quality services across their partner schools. This position supports incoming and active AmeriCorps Members by facilitating onboarding and registration days; providing logistical, content and facilitation support for sitewide Learning and Development Days, Learning and Culture Summits, and Leadership After City Year programming; and leading professional development for Team Leaders and other Second-Year AmeriCorps Members through structured trainings, capacity building sessions, and communities of practice. This position will better ensure that their AmeriCorps Members are effectively trained, supported, and prepared for continued impact during and beyond their service year. City Year New York strives to expand educational and economic opportunities for children and young adults by partnering with under-resourced NYC schools to help bridge the gap between what students need and what many schools are actually equipped to provide.
