For continued support of the Youth Employment Specialist dedicated to youth jobseekers between the ages of 18 and 24. The Specialist is responsible for implementing the newly created Positive Youth Development Training curriculum that focuses on topics including age-appropriate personal and professional development, connecting with families and with communities, and professional communication and presentation. Techniques include group discussions in Job Club, the structured job search phase which takes place upon completion of training, smaller youth focus groups, and one-on-one meetings. The Employment Specialist works with the young adults to develop and implement strategies which further encourage their employment success and career advancement, including deeper support in the workforce, creative incentive structures, and referrals for the High School Equivalency program and higher education. The HOPE Program helps individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency through their model job readiness and job retention programs and their training initiatives.
